    Advocacy

    The Advocacy Committee reviews legislation, offers testimony and engages the DC Council, and city agencies, on issues related to its advocacy agenda. Committee members also foster relationships with organizations and coalitions that can help DCLC advance its goals and educate the community.

    The Board Development Committee establishes guidelines for board recruitment and training. As the needs of the DC Latino Caucus change, this committee ensures current and in-coming board members have the background to meet those challenges.

    This committee ensure the DC Latino Caucus by-laws are current and updated as need, and standards, require. The committee also oversees the board election process to ensure integrity.

    The Fundraising Committee helps identify alternative sources of revenue for the Caucus, and ensures all events and fundraising efforts are cost-effective.

    Grassroots Outreach & Organization

    This committee creates and executes the strategy for expanding the Caucus’ outreach and organizing efforts, to increase our community's power. This includes increasing Caucus membership, identifying and registering voters and getting them to the polls.
